Doughnuts with Doll

Doughnuts with Doll -- one of my favorite things in the world to do is to go to Church and have doughnuts with Doll. After Sunday School, we go down to the King's Way Cafe at the end of the verrrrrrrrrry long hall and I get to eat one doughnut hole and I drink a big glass of white milk. Doll talks to me while I eat my doughnut and drink my milk. Sometimes I talk to her. It depends on how hungry I am. Then I go up the circle stairs and play in the balcony with the other kids. I love it. I really love doughnuts with Doll.

Leg Warmers, Jumpers, and Baths

Sissie loves her leg warmers. And she loves her jumper too. She is getting so big. I love to show her how to "jump."

We had a really warm day last week and Mommy, Daddy, and Aunt T took us to the park. Here we are on our way back home.

Doll and Sissie both like to laugh and smile.

Last week was also special because we got to take a bath with cousin Nate.
Rub-a-dub-dub , three babes in a tub,
And who do you think they be?
Lena Grace, Nate, and Graham Henry...
Turn them out, knaves all three.

Getting Ready for the Big Game

What big game, you might ask? Well North Carolina v. Dook, of course. I won't get to see it because it is on late at night, but daddy has been looking forward to this game all week. So, in honor of the special occasion, I wore my Tar Heel hat and said "Go Tarheels" a whole lot. Go Tar Heels! Beat Dook!

And She Was Swingin'

There's a little girl
in our neighborhood
Her name is Lena Grace
and she's really lookin good....

And she was swingin'
Yes she was swingin'
Lena Grace she's as pretty
As the angels when they sing
I can't believe I'm out here
On the front porch in this swing
Just a-swingin'

We have had a bit of a heat wave in February in Springfield, so Mommy, Daddy, Aunt T, Nate, and Lena Grace and I went to the park on Sunday. While I played on the slides and the microphone, Sissie and Nate went swinging on the baby swings.

I think Sissie really liked the swings.

Yep, she was swingin'.

Snow Days with Daddy

Last week we had a few snow days. We had an ice storm and then a couple of inches of snow on top of the ice. Daddy came home early one day from work and we went out in the snow.

Daddy put some snow on my head. It was really cold. I didn't like it very much.

Then we tried to make a snowman. I am scared of snowmen because there was a really big snowman (a Christmas blow up snowman) at school for the Christmas program. But I really wanted Daddy to show me how to make a real snowman. But the snow was so cold and dry that it wouldn't stick together. SO Daddy showed me how to make an angel in the snow. He called it a snow angel.

Daddy made one and then he helped me make one....

Then we went sledding on the hill at the art museum across the street. We started sledding together. My hat (really Daddy's hat that I insisted on wearing) was too big so it kept falling down in my eyes.

It was a lot of fun to sled with Daddy. After every ride, I would say, "Again, Daddy, again."

Then I got to sled the hill "myself." Yeah!

I love snow days!
