By now, you would have had to have been on another planet not to have heard about or seen the hat that Aretha Franklin wore at the Presidential inauguration. Here's the deal though....my little sister has a much cooler hat than Ms. Franklin. She gets all of the attention when we go to the store. You can't help but look at her in her hat. Eat your heart out Ms. Franklin.

I Really Love This.....Very Much!
This has been a really cool weekend. Daddy and Mommy got to play with me and Daddy stayed home some parts of today. On Saturday, Sissie had her pictures taken with Ms. Amy. Mommy helped with the pictures.
On Sunday, Mommy gave Sissie her first night-night. It is pink and Sissie likes it a lot. Then Doll gave Sissie her "big" night-night.

Today, Daddy took me to the Discovery Center and to look at doggies at the pet store. And to Chick fil A (my favorite). And tonight I got to go to dinner with Auntie Rachel and Ms. Amanda for Ms. Amanda's birthday. I love my Daddy and Mommy and Auntie Rachel and Ms. Amanda.
Sissie wore her fun pink jacket with the big hood to Amanda's birthday dinner. Doesn't she look cute?
This week I also have a new saying, "I really love this." When I was taking a bath with Sissie tonight, I was playing with a crayola wash cloth and I said, "I really love this" about the wash cloth. I said it over and over and over again. And Mommy and Daddy laughed and laughed and laughed. And then I said "very much."
It has also been a special week because starting on Friday, Sissie and I take our baths together. And it is so much fun. She plays with my toys and Mommy and Daddy are both in the bathroom with us.

It's Santa.
In the months before Christmas, Daddy kept telling me about this Santa Claus guy. We even read a couple of books about him. Daddy said I was really scared of him last Christmas. Well, anyway, I have learned this Christmas that it is not about what you "get" at Christmas, but about what you give. Even though I learned that, I still wanted a couple of things. So I decided to ask Santa for a firetruck and a kitchen. Here are pictures of me, Lena Grace, and cousin Nate with Santa.

C is for Cookie
Another thing that we did to get ready for Christmas was to decorate sugar cookies at Doll's house. My favorite was decorating the Christmas trees. I did a green tree with lots of sprinkles and a pink and white tree with silver balls (we wanted it to look like Bird's pink Christmas tree).
Daddy helped me decorate my sugar cookies. When Daddy got one Christmas tree, I bit the top off while he was trying to mix some icing for me. I liked eating the yummy cookies even more than decorating them.

Hanging Stars
My last post was a little misleading. While we were celebrating Christmas in Harrison, it wasn't really "on Christmas." We went to Harrison on a weekend before Christmas. This post is all about our preparations at home for Christmas.
First, Daddy told me we needed to "fix" the Christmas tree. I heard the word "fix" and I came ready with all of my tools...
Then, Daddy and Mommy took some pictures of us for Christmas. This one was Daddy's favorite. He likes it because of the smile on Lena Grace's face.
I like this one -- because it shows off my cool white shoes.
While we were putting up the Christmas decorations, I decided that the teddy bears needed to go night-night, and that I needed to go night-night with them in the box (which I call my "van").
We put up our Christmas tree and we decorated it with huge gingerbread stars (nobody told me they were cookies -- if they had, the stars wouldn't have points). We also decorated the trees with some pretty white lights and colored paper garland. It was very pretty. Whenever anyone would come over, I would take them and show them our tree.

Christmas in Harrison
We started our Christmas in Harrison, Arkansas with most of Mommy's family. We started at Uncle Phil and Aunt Connie's house for a yummy lunch. Bird held Sissie (Lena Grace) and let Daddy take her picture. While Bird was holding Sissie, Nanny held cousin Nate.
Aunt Connie's little doggy just had puppies and they are living in Uncle Phil's train roundhouse. I got to touch one of the puppy dogs.
I got to climb in Uncle Phil's train car and pretend like I was the conductor. Uncle Phil also showed me his basement trains and train toys. I wanted to stay down there, even during lunch.
After we looked at Uncle Phil's trains, Great-Granddad rode up in his little car and carried me in for lunch.
After lunch, I rode on the rocking horse that Nanny gave us at Christmas last year. I am much better at the rocking horse this year than I was last year.
One of my favorite parts of Christmas is playing with Nativity scenes. I like big nativity scenes and little ones. Nanny has a little nativity scene. I like to pick up the pieces and ask Daddy or anyone who is listening what it is. I especially like to identify the "baby Jesus."
